PPP National Advisory Panel (NAP)

The National Advisory Panel (NAP) is a body of national leaders with expertise in one of the following fields or across the spectrum of the three: aging, social work, and education. The members are appointed by Patricia J. Volland, MSW, MBA, Senior Vice President of the Academy and Director of the Academy's Social Work Leadership Institute, to inform the implementation and process of the PPP. Specifically, NAP members serve in at least one of the following capacities: (i) peer review of PPP grantapplications (ii) orientation and training for new PPP sites (iii) technical assistance and consulting (iv) act as a steering committee on all other aspects of the project. The group's excellent guidance has broadened and strengthened the PPP's communication, dissemination, and resource development strategies and tactics.

Participants include: Paula Allen-Meares, PhD, MSW, BA - Dean and Professor at the School of Social Work, University of Michigan; Diane Braunstein, BA - Director of Technical Assistance and Systems Change at the Alzheimer's Association; Edwin Gonzales-Santin, MSW - Chair, CSWE Council on Field Education, Arizona State University; Kay Hoffman , PhD - Dean and Professor at the College of Social Work, University of Kentucky; Ruth Katz - Deputy to the Assistant Secretary - HHS, ASPE, Office of Disability, Aging, LTC Policy Office of Assistant Secretary for Planning and Evaluation U.S. Department of Health and Human Services; Betty Malks, MSW, CSW - Director of Santa Clara County's Department of Aging and Adult Services; Jill Manske MSW, Director of Social Work Service at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs; Michael Patchner, MS, MSW, MPH, PhD - Dean of the School of Social Work Indiana University; Suzanne St. Peter, MSW - Co-Director of the CSWE Gero-Ed center and Director of the Gero-Rich program at the University of Washington, School of Social Work; Ginger Robbins, MSW - Director of Field Education, School of Social Work at the University of Houston; Lois Aronstein - NY State Director of AARP.
